What is Europatweets?

At many levels, Europe is often critized for its lack of transparency and communication with the public.
The European Parliament is said to be disconnected from the the people they are supposed to represent. Most people don't understand who they are and what they are doing.

What is that Twitter I hear about all the time?

Twitter is a micro-blogging platform. It's like blogging but without the need to write long posts. It's more like your facebook status except that it is public.

During the last European elections, in june 2009, Europatweets was released as a twitter-based platform to deliver more information to the people.
Since then, we work on bringing Europe closer to its citizen with the use of social networks and particularily Twitter.

Feel free to contact us. We aim to gather as many European actors as possible on Europatweets and make them closer to the citizens.
